Ideas from creative thoughts, research and real experiences will be shares and become a personal source of strength and energy.  The ability to learn and communicate foreign concepts, new philosophies and structural characteristics is a life journey.

Many clichés and quotes often refer to the premise that understanding oneself aids in finding true happiness.  The term “understand” comes from the courage to mentally or physically stand-under, referring to the proper process to analyze a core foundation, or philosophy, to build upon.

Much of this journal will focus on the conscious assessment of my personal philosophical premises, documentation of past experiences and identification of conceptual ideals.  World “events” and commentary on perceived conditions will be documented in relation to the overall goal of better understanding natural surroundings [metaphysics], international commerce, emerging technologies and frontier markets.  Technological advances and capital flows are changing world demographics and empowering the individual.  The “ideal state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one’s values” remains a continuing goal. Art, design, capital markets and global changes are of significant interest.  World travel and personal experiences with specialists from investment capital to ocean survival assist in the understanding of many diverse cultures.  Research of languages, histories of civilizations combined with a universal “boots on the ground” lifestyle among special friends provides unique perspectives.

The cover photo is a conceptual metaphor and a tribute to international design [Geoffrey Bawa].  Architecture, as both an art and a science, involves new forms of creativity and creative thinking [Mohsen Mostafavi].  Multiple disciplines are required of the international builder, requiring humility and teamwork.  I seek to identify what I have learned from many great minds, significant experiences and personal lessons for the entertainment and enlightenment of the reader as well as a continued ideas on potential future opportunities.
