WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT A GENUINE STORM COMPARED TO A „PERFECT“ DAY’S WAVESAILING?

It is all good to me…. I like to challenge myself, and sometimes the more difficult and challenging the conditions are, tough and painful as it may be…the more rewarding it is. I saw a tee shirt yesterday from the US Marines, and it said „pain is just weakness leaving the body.“ I guess storm sailing is a bit like this. Some people like the challenge and do not just want to take the easy ways through life. - Robby Naish

The monetary standard is closely linked to the moral standard and, as such, determines the fate of humanity. - Ferdinand Lips

1. Introspection - Begin Again with the end in Mind

This is not an instruction manual on how to trade disruptive technologies or pick up coinage in front of a steamroller. There are no immediate automation protocols so you can receive ‘passive income’ or live ‘The Four - Hour Work Week.’

I have nothing to sell.

My ancestry came on boats to the America’s as immigrants, different than migrants, seeking skin in the game in a new world. Some fortunate experiences have come from remaining eternally curious, restless and somewhat creative.

This Book has to be put together quickly as I'm currently working 2 jobs in sales consulting and as a Chevron gas station attendant in the evenings. Living on a shoe-string rebuilding since California jail in hindsight has been a gift.

Once a jet setting broker living in Del Mar, California and homes in the Laguna Beach of South America in winters the new guy rides a bicycle working many boots on the ground jobs. Always with a messenger bag and book… Reworking the mind has possibly be more essential than body or balance sheet.

Conflating challanges with real adversity.

Recognition of reality creating a vicissitude in human action..  Now a gift.

The impetus for this book is not to tell others what to do. Rather a documentary of a current challenging period in time with the intention of providing what hopefully could be a fun story and amalgamation of lessons from diverse sources.

A guide for the common person seeking transition.

Strange things happen when one may live a pure life going for it every day… they learn about their real self 1st on the way to possibly finding love…

I have only come here seeking knowledgeThings they would not teach me of in collegeI can see the destiny you sold turned into a shining band of gold
Mephistopheles is not your nameI know what you're up to just the sameI will listen hard to your tuitionYou will see it come to its fruition - Wrapped Around Your Finger

Added obligations to The People's Republic of California for the offense of riding a KLR650 adventure motorcycle w/surf rack home from a Mexican Cantina despues de my mi parte of Margaritas ['lil Spanglish never hurt].

The comeback has been proceeding but the loss of spirituality in the summer of 2021 - all led by hubris & ego - ensured another chapter in the saga of self-sabotage.

The cool thing about going for it in life is that you may have some incredible experiences. Passions as a young boy were to be somewhere between Frank Lloyd Wright and Tom Curren [U.S. 3x surfing champion & artist].

My past included some chemistry, physics, differential equations to thermodynamic studies where classroom instruction still had a focus on the real world.

The Tavistock Institute artificial pandemic known as the annual influenza offered an opportunity as a former honorable served veteran. Engagement in a 10 month program thru California Institute of Arts & Technology with cyber security seemed to only confirm a thoughts from the past decade.

During the summer of 2011 I was given the opportunity to speak at a Doug Casey Phyle in Olivenhain on the potential virtues of owning property in South America. My along side speaker was none other than Trace Mayer of Bitcoin fame.

Critical thinking and being flexible, healthy

Humans use Pattern Recognition for safety & opportunity. Fear & Greed.

Pattern Recognition and Inductive Thinking is a special ability of the human brain to not only find patterns but figure out in a logical way what those patterns suggest about what will happen next. In a broad sense, pattern recognition and inductive thinking form the basis for all scientific inquiry. - C8sciences

Mark Twain was correct to preclude schooling from sowing his real education. The bulk of institutional learning in western World societies aims at the generation of obedient workers. USNA Annapolis taught real leaders take orders not to deviate from established protocols. Understanding a democracy may not be advantageous in a hostile war situation the dogma for military offices may apply better to larger corporations on the outside than small dynamic Entrepreneurial ventures providing the market with new solutions.

Real leaders think critically & build capital. Cash flow is King > Freedom.

For our purposes we see a unique opportunity to cross value & speculation - moving the needle to achieve financial leverage without using margin.

Debt is a killer. Many over levered companies may soon meet the same make as Indian Motorcycle.

One big reason traders usually fail to overcome their own greed and fear as we humans have a strong innate immediacy bias.  Our worldviews are tainted by heavy overweighting of whatever is happening to us right now > Importance of maintains perspective

Asset managers over compliance / complications > AUM > Fee based

Advantages of small Indian seeing distortions -

2. Heritage & Culture [stand under - he who controls the past… know thyself]

Most are unaware there are three major reserve currencies - Federal Reserve Note [U$D], The Euro & Gold.

Most Financial Advisors have no idea all world currencies were back by gold since Masonic 1933.

Lindy effect - Mass Psychosis has ensured most do not own collateral.

Law of the Merchant > Effective to ensure most hold liabilities vs assets.

3. Philosophy - Mentorship

Storm tactics - bearing

Listening to Rick Rule discuss Human Action by Ludwig von Mises & most humans failure to be objective fact finders. Embracing introspection while working at Taylor Made Golf out of Jail > going back with a separated shoulder from getting hit by a truck using the Adidas gym for rehabilitation. Multi tasking was key to build back the mind & body… there were a few clear messages within these constructive podcasts… A philosophical core is essential to retain proper bearing.

4. CYCLES Back to the Future [cycles] - State Intervention - Force / distortions

Action & skin in the game provide real experience.

5. Opportunities in Crisis / Contrarian [legal theft - living w/corruption]

Concentration of Wealth > Main Street out of the picture > whales in the Bank crisis

Absence of Rule of Law > no more level playing field.

We’re small Indians. We can move around seeking alpha In under-appreciated worlds. Picking up Lara Exploration on stink bids per Doug Casey on 321gold / fee information.

Large fund managers can’t piece into a $20M market cap prospect generator with royalties.

Have you ever heard Buffett, Munger, Akre, Sleep, Smith, Pabrai, Li Lu, Honh, Gayner, or any other great investors talk about: macro quads, inflation predictions, ISM readings, yield curves, money supply, interest rate predictions, direction of currencies, retail sales, etc etc?

Unlike 99.9% of investors, those investors (and several others not mentioned) outperformed the S&P 500 over multiple decades. You’ll notice they NEVER focus on macroeconomic data, and instead focus on quality businesses that possess moats, managed by competent & honest teams.

6. Market Sentiment / Cognitive Biases [nothing new under the sun - mania]

The most important considerations in our investment discipline are 1) valuations – which drive long-term returns and the potential depth of interim market losses over the complete market cycle; 2) market internals across a broad range of individual stocks, industries, sectors, and security-types, which we use to distinguish speculative investor psychology from risk-aversion during shorter segments of the market cycle; and 3) syndromes of conditions that help to identify extremely compressed or overextended market conditions that often define market extremes – John P Hussman

Pattern Recognition
